After another victory and solid performance in general, two PSG players have been recognised by UEFA with a place in their official team of the week.

On Tuesday evening, PSG comfortably beat Liverpool 2-0 in their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg at Anfield, meaning Luis Enrique's side eased through with a comfortable 4-0 aggregate victory over the tie.

Although the hosts played better in this game than they did in the French capital last week, it was still a good performance from the defending champions, with plenty of good individual displays along the way.

None more so than Marquinhos and Ousmane Dembele. That is, according to UEFA, who have named the two PSG players in their official Team of the Week for the second legs of the quarter-final match ups.

Their full team of the week is as follows (343); Juan Musso (Atletico Madrid); Eduardo Quaresma (Sporting), Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich), Marquinhos; Marcos Llorente (Atletico Madrid), Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich), Martin Zubimendi (Arsenal), Arda Guler (Real Madrid); Michael Olise (Bayern Munich), Ferran Torres (Barcelona), and Dembele.

You have to say, completely deserved. We saw Marquinhos make an incredible, goal saving block to deny fellow skipper Virgil van Dijk from opening the scoring just after the half hour mark, which certainly would have made things interesting.

Meanwhile, Dembele did what he always does. His first goal was absolutely trademark. The fake shot on his right to bait the opponent to committing, before taking it onto his left and curling in an effort from the D.

The Frenchman has now scored four Champions League goals this season, despite starting just eight times in the competition. After a slow start to the season due to injuries, he is now beginning to well and truly get back to last season's form.

Interestingly, there are quite a few Bayern players in the team of the week, after their dramatic victory over Real Madrid. It certainly shapes up to be a mouthwatering semi final clash, between two sides that many had hoped would end up meeting in the final in Budapest at the end of May.

However, the good thing about this clash coming before the final, is we get to see it twice. The two best teams in world football, who play the best and most entertaining football going head to head. The way the sport should be played.

So, not quite the five players in the team of the week from the first leg - where Vitinha, Nuno Mendes, Joao Neves, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Marquinhos himself were named in the team, but a good effort nevertheless. Hopefully more to come in the semi-finals.
