A partial stadium closure and a coach's touchline ban loom over the crucial PSG-Lille showdown.

Suspended by the LFP's disciplinary commission on Wednesday night, Olivier Létang and Bruno Genesio will indeed be able to attend the Parc des Princes this Friday night for the Paris Saint-Germain vs. LOSC Lille clash. The Auteuil stand will be partially closed, while most Lille supporter groups have announced their boycott of the match.

Meeting every Wednesday, the LFP's disciplinary commission ruled on several past matches, with several concrete consequences for this Friday night's PSG vs. Lille clash for matchday 18 of Ligue 1.

The LFP's "field police" thus sanctioned a section of PSG supporters after the recent derby on Jan. 4, which PSG won against Paris FC in Ligue 1.

That night, the Collectif Ultras Paris lit flares to enhance its tifo and chanted several songs about Marseille, which had prompted the match referee to stop the game for a few seconds in added time, something that had deeply angered Luis Enrique after the match, as he believed it was only in Paris that referees allowed themselves to stop matches for chants.

The LFP therefore announced on Wednesday night a partial closure for one firm match of the Auteuil stand at the Parc des Princes and specified that this sanction took immediate effect.

The section of the Virage Auteuil reserved for the CUP will therefore be closed starting this Friday night for PSG vs. Lille, which has been confirmed to us.

For their misconduct toward the referee of the recent Lille vs. Rennes match (0-2), Lille president Olivier Létang and his coach Bruno Genesio have also been caught by the patrol.

As a repeat offender, Létang has been suspended until March 31, 2026, from access to the technical area, officials' dressing rooms, and all official functions before, during, and after matches. The former PSG executive has also been banned from access to players' dressing rooms, the field, the tunnel, and all corridors leading to the aforementioned areas until Feb. 15, 2026, inclusive.

For his part, "Pep" Genesio received a one-match touchline ban and a one-match suspended ban from the technical area, referees' dressing room, and all official functions for also targeting referee Mr. Wattellier during the recent Lille vs. Rennes match.

Restrained by his players at halftime, the Lille coach still managed to let out to the referee: "Since yesterday it's been nothing but crap. It's worse than last year, all of them. But he's the boss, he's the number one, he's the top of the top. We're fed up."

However, the sanctions for Létang and Genesio, unlike those for the CUP, will only take effect starting Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026. Both men will therefore be able to be at the Parc des Princes this Friday, Jan. 16, for the PSG vs. Lille match.

Finally, it should be noted that several Lille supporter groups have announced their boycott of the trip to Paris due to their poor treatment by law enforcement during their last visit to the Parc des Princes.

The Lille supporter groups thus expressed regret in their statement about the "incomprehensible decision" by the Paris police prefecture to limit the visiting fan parking at the Parc des Princes to 500 spaces instead of the usual 1,000 reserved.
