AFC Bournemouth are reportedly preparing to make an official approach to Sassuolo for highly-rated defender Tarik Muharemović.
According to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, the Cherries are ready to submit a formal bid for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international, although any deal could be complicated by Juventus, who retain a 50 per cent sell-on clause following his move to Sassuolo last summer.
The 23-year-old centre-back enjoyed an outstanding campaign in Serie A, featuring in 32 matches and playing 84 per cent of Sassuolo's league minutes as they secured promotion back to Italy's top flight. Signed for just €2 million a year ago, Muharemović has seen his value soar after establishing himself as one of the division's standout defenders, with reports suggesting Sassuolo could now demand a fee in excess of €30 million.
Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio has previously reported that Muharemović's performances have attracted interest from several clubs, including a number oif other sides in the Premier League. Bournemouth's interest comes as they deal with the departure of Marcos Senesi, making defensive reinforcements a priority.
