Bournemouth Confirm Alex Toth Set for Months on the Sidelines After Major Muscle Injury

Bournemouth have confirmed that midfielder Alex Toth will be sidelined for several months after suffering a significant muscle injury, delivering a frustrating blow for the Hungarian international.

Toth has found regular minutes hard to come by since arriving at the Vitality Stadium and will undoubtedly be gutted to have another lengthy spell on the sidelines just as he looks to establish himself in Marco Rose's plans. The injury comes at a particularly unfortunate time, with a busy run of fixtures on the horizon and plenty of opportunities for players to make their mark.

The Cherries could certainly do with having their midfield options available, especially with fellow central midfielder Alex Scott still working his way back to full fitness following his own injury problems. Scott's imminent return will provide a welcome boost, but Toth's absence will leave Rose with one fewer option as Bournemouth navigate an increasingly demanding schedule.

For Toth personally, the priority will now be getting back to full fitness and putting this setback behind him.
