According to Milan-based journalist Gianluigi Longari, Bournemouth are among a number of clubs keeping tabs on Colombian midfielder Richard Rios, although his future at Benfica remains far from certain. Longari reports that several sides have made exploratory enquiries, with Napoli and AC Milan joined by Atletico Madrid and the Cherries in showing an interest.
With Andoni Iraola expected to bolster his squad ahead of another demanding Premier League campaign, Bournemouth continue to be linked with midfield reinforcements as they look to add both quality and depth. While there is no indication that talks have progressed beyond initial enquiries, Rios' name is the latest to emerge as the Cherries assess potential additions during the summer transfer window.
