AFC Bournemouth made it six wins on the bounce without conceding a goal as they beat Leeds 2-0 at the Vitality Stadium this afternoon.
The result sees the Cherries move up to seventh on 12 points with three wins, three draws and three losses this season.
Leeds drop to tenth and are winless in their last five Premier League games.
Imago // Every Second Media The away team started the match well, but it was Bournemouth who took the lead in the first half through Evanilson following an error from the Leeds keeper.
The second half was relatively even, with Bournemouth creating the better of the chances and finally capping off the win through Amine Adli in added time.
Leeds started the game well, scoring in the 11th minute to take the lead through Dominic Calvert-Lewin from a James Justin cross.
However, after a lengthy VAR check, the striker was deemed to have handled the ball before it hit the back of the net.
Imago // Every Second Media Leeds continued to create chances, with Harry Wilson’s long-range effort going wide just four minutes later.
Perhaps against the run of play, Bournemouth took the lead in the 31st minute. James Trafford gave the ball away cheaply from a Leeds goal kick, as Justin Kluivert pounced to assist Evanilson with a simple goal.
The Brazilian has now scored in all of his last four Premier League matches, taking his tally to five for the season.
The Cherries then started to find their flow, as Trafford saved well from Rayan in the latter stages of the first half.
Imago // Every Second Media The start of the second half did not have an abundance of chances, with the first real attempt coming from a Marcus Tavernier freekick in the 64th minute.
The Englishman’s attempt was on target, but Trafford got down well to his left to send the ball behind.
Just two minutes later, the ball fell to Rayan on the right-hand side of the six-yard box. The Brazilian made wicked contact with the ball, but the shot fizzed wide.
The 1-0 scoreline continued to be bothersome for the Cherries. Despite Leeds not creating many clear-cut chances, they had plenty of the ball and were capable of a moment of magic.
Imago // Every Second Media However, nerves were settled in the 90+4th minute, as Junior Kroupi skipped through the Leeds defence to provide a perfectly weighted assist for Adli.
The Moroccan fired home into the bottom left-hand corner to secure the points.
