AFC Bournemouth remain determined to keep hold of Alex Scott this summer despite mounting interest from some of the Premier League's biggest clubs, with Arsenal and Manchester United both continuing to monitor the midfielder's situation.
The Daily Echo today reported that Cherries have already rejected an enquiry from Arsenal and are understood to have made it clear to the Gunners that the 22-year-old is not for sale.
Bournemouth are instead preparing to offer Scott a new long-term contract, with reports suggesting it could include a release clause, as the club looks to secure the futures of its brightest young talents. Alongside Rayan and Junior Kroupi, Scott is viewed as a key part of Marco Rose's plans as Bournemouth prepare for their first-ever Europa League campaign.

He scored three Premier League goals, helped Bournemouth achieve a club-record sixth-place finish and European qualification, and earned the club's Supporters' Player of the Year award.
His energetic displays, progressive ball carrying, defensive work and composure in possession also saw him receive his first senior England call-up before travelling to Florida with the national team ahead of the World Cup.
Scott's performances have inevitably attracted widespread attention. As well as Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have all been credited with an interest, however in the last 24 hours, transfer journalist Ben Jacobs has reported that Manchester United are now expected to explore a move after cooling their pursuit of Mateus Fernandes, who looks set for Spurs.

Reports suggest Bournemouth value Scott at around £80 million and have informed interested clubs that only an offer exceeding that figure would prompt any serious consideration. While Manchester United are reportedly weighing up an opening bid closer to £60 million, Bournemouth's stance remains unchanged. The club sees Scott as central to its long-term ambitions.
Scott has made 89 appearances for Bournemouth since arriving from Bristol City, scoring six goals and registering five assists. Should a transfer eventually materialise, his former club would also benefit through a reported 15% sell-on clause included in the original deal.
