Bournemouth found that ruthless edge that had been missing under Marco Rose, putting Lincoln to the sword in impressive fashion. Four goals, a clean sheet and a real statement of intent by the Cherries, many fringe players giving the Bournemouth head coach something to ponder early in the season.

Michele Di Gregorio

A debut in the sticks for the Cherries as Di Gregorio came into the side for the first time since his loan move from Juventus. Despite having little to do, the Italian looked commanding and fully at home in his first encounter for Bournemouth. 8/10

James Hill

With Rose opting to give Adam Smith a break and Juanlu Sanchez not quite ready to start, it meant Hill shifted across into the right full back spot. A big performance from the defender, showing that if needed he is more than capable of playing that role and doing more than just hold his own. 9/10

Bafode Diakite

A big night for Bafo making his first appearance of the season and he dealt with everything expertly. The Lincoln frontline possessed a lot of physical presence, but the French centre back done everything required at the heart of the defence. 9/10

Antonio Silva

Once again Antonio showed what a wonderful summer signing he is fast turning out to be. A rock defensively and ridiculously calm and composed on the ball, a near perfect display from the Portuguese defender. 9/10

Julio Soler

The Argentine left back may find minutes hard to come by with how first choice left back Adrien Truffert is performing, but he certainly showed Marco Rose that is more than ready to be called upon when required. Intelligent in his runs and more than happy to mix it. 8/10

Lewis Cook

Lewis looked a class above his Championship counterparts, running the show from the central midfield area. He often felt like the glue who was keeping everything together. 9/10

Ryan Christie

The perfect night for Christie as he showed exactly why he needs more minutes under Marco Rose. The hat trick was the cherry on top for Ryan who looked eager to impressive right from the first whistle. The Scot was relentless in his work rate and delivered the quality with the ball to bag his first hat trick. 10/10

Ben Gannon-Doak

A super lively and impressive showing from the Cherries' Scottish winger. His pacey and direct running caused the opposition issues throughout the night. Ben will be hoping for more domestic minutes now, particularly after his surprise admission from Bournemouth's Europa League opening squad. 9/10

Justin Kluivert

Unfortunately Justin is still struggling to find the form that Cherries fans know he is capable of. In a dominant performance against lower league opposition, you'd have expected Kluivert to shine, but he found it difficult to have much of an impact on the game. 5/10

David Brooks

Still not at his classy best but Brooksy still managed to knit things together nicely on the night. He'd have been frustrated not to be involved more, but you know the Welsh wizard isn't going to let you down. 7/10

Alvaro Rodriguez

Alvaro was given the nod to lead the line for Bournemouth in this one, but ultimately had an underwhelming night. Clearly still finding his feet following a disruptive pre season, the forward has yet to show the Cherries the hype surrounding his summer signing. 5/10

There were a notable good couple of cameo's from the substitutes bench for the Cherries. Alex Toth came on at 1-0 and really took his moment to impress, whilst Rayan showed his quality by expertly putting his name on the scoresheet.
