Six New Bournemouth Transfer Links Emerge Ahead Of Pre-Season

AFC Bournemouth's recruitment team are continuing to cast a wide net across Europe as preparations for the 2026/27 campaign gather pace. With the World Cup now underway and most Cherries' first-team stars enjoying their summer break, sporting director Tiago Pinto and his recruitment department appear determined to make progress in the transfer market as early as possible.

New head coach Marco Rose will undoubtedly be keen to have as much of his squad assembled as possible before players return for pre-season, allowing him valuable time to implement his ideas and assess his options ahead of another demanding Premier League season.

One of the latest names linked with Bournemouth is Chelsea academy attacker Sol Gordon. According to transfer correspondent Pete O'Rourke, the Cherries are among several Premier League clubs monitoring the 18-year-old's situation at Stamford Bridge. Newcastle United and Everton are also said to be keeping tabs on the youngster, who is entering the final year of his Chelsea contract. Gordon is regarded as one of the academy's promising attacking prospects, and Bournemouth's growing reputation for developing young talent could make them an attractive destination should he become available.

Further back, Bournemouth continue to be linked with defensive reinforcements. The Athletic reports that Eintracht Frankfurt defender Arthur Theate is attracting interest from both Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest. While Forest are yet to make a formal move, they have reportedly made contact with the player's representatives. Frankfurt are believed to value the Belgian international at around €20 million, a fee that could prove attractive for several Premier League clubs seeking proven top-level experience.

Another defender firmly on Bournemouth's radar is Lecce centre-back Tiago Gabriel. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Cherries have maintained their interest in the Portuguese defender since the January transfer window. Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Bournemouth have all reportedly shown interest. Roma are understood to value Ndicka at around €40 million, although offers between €32 million and €35 million may be considered. Despite Bournemouth being mentioned among the interested parties, the report also describes a move as a complicated track for Tiago Pinto's side, suggesting competition and finances could make a deal difficult to complete.

The final name linked with the Cherries is Bologna defender Jhon Lucumi. Journalist Nicolo Schira reports that Juventus have already made an initial enquiry regarding the Colombian international, who is widely expected to leave Bologna this summer. Lucumi reportedly has a €28 million release clause that becomes active from mid-July, while Bournemouth's interest is said to date back to previous transfer windows.
