Following AFC Bournemouth’s stunning 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates on Saturday, Cherries fans have taken to social media to praise a number of standout individual performances. Over the past 48 hours, Tom Jordan has been compiling the best of those reactions ahead of putting together his own player ratings, exclusively revealing them on Back of the Net's Telegram Group, available to monthly supporters of the channel.
Djordje Petrovic - 7/10
Petro, weirdly, wasn't that tested. There was one moment, where he punched, but he definitely should have caught it. But I'd rather that than him leaving it, I suppose. But luckily, he got away with that one. Apart from that, they put a lot on him from crosses and set pieces - and that was always going to be a fear, but he stood up to it, he wasn't bullied, and he was absolutely fine.
Alex Jimenez - 8/10
I love the guy, just when we scored the first goal he's giving it to the fans, he's great fun and a top player, he's still raw but he's an unbelievable full-back. There was a few times that I thought, oh, he's given the ball away there, then he's done something brilliant, and then he's got caught, then he's done something brilliant. But he's definitely getting a strong eight because of the recovery tackle at the end. Love the guy.
James Hill - 8/10
It's just getting like a broken record, isn't it now? Just unbelievable. A million quid from Fleetwood a long time ago. We got him in when we were in the Championship, actually, under Parker. He's just waited and waited and had loans and waited in the wings and I wish we had put him in earlier, but, since he's come in, he's been an absolute colossus back there. He's been a monster.
Marcos Senesi - 8/10
He's so consistent and Hill's been so good next to him, and there's been so many standout players that it goes under the radar just how good he is. Also with the fear of Andoni going, I think it's made us forget a little bit - we're going to miss this guy. He's pretty much nailed on to obviously go and we are going to miss him because he is unbelievable every single week. He's so consistent. He's an elite centre-back.
Adrien Truffert - 8/10
As you all know, there's times where he's really hyped about after a game and I think "he was alright", but then then yesterday I thought - there's not been any hype about him - and I thought he was absolutely exceptional! It's weird how it works, isn't it? I thought he was unbelievable. I mean, yes, the cross is a deflection, but the run, the ground he's making up, I thought he looked fitter. I thought he looked energetic. I thought defensively, he knew when to just make a foul. He knew when to give it correctly. I thought he was overlapping all day and defensively he was really really good.
Alex Scott - 10/10
He's an absolute joke. Let's just enjoy what we're seeing. It's unbelievable. I've said a lot of times to many people, that Declan Rice is one of the best players I've seen live. Not only for Arsenal, but for West Ham - but he was average, and I think that was because of Alex Scott. He would give England something. He was going to be a strong nine - a man of the match, but then he gets the winner. I love seeing them type of runs as well. So unbelievable, faultless.
Ryan Christie - 8/10
He was sensational in terms of just being a nuisance in there. I felt for him for the penalty. You don't play without your arms and the ball hits it. I mean, I don't know what the rules are anymore. I was disappointed for him, but other than that, he was everywhere. Brilliant. And the first goal is a superb pass.
Eli Junior Kroupi - 8/10
If you need a player in the box to just sniff a chance out. Who's there? Kroupi? What a knack that is to have as a centre-forward. What a knack. He's just got it in terms of actually always scoring goals, whatever the level. So buzzing for him.
Rayan - 6/10
He's going to be an unbelievable player. When he started, it was really exciting, but I'm thinking - let's just calm down because he's not going to do what Semenya would do - because he's still raw, he's still a kid. And he's going to have time where he's trying to adapt and I think in the last few games, he's been a bit invisible, hasn't he? I just don't think it quite happened for him. I think you keep playing him and I think what's good about getting a player like that in January is that he can have that adaption time now and then next season.... bang. Because, yeah, he's going to be a frightening player.
Marcus Tavernier - 8/10
I thought Tavernier was his usual self - energetic, a nuisance, he used the ball well. I just think he's one of the most consistent players we have. He doesn't seem to get the credit. It seems to be coming a little bit now, but he's been so massive for us since he got back from injury.
Evanilson - 8/10
He's unbelievable. I don't understand how you can watch him and not see what he brings. Saliba and Gabriel - the best centre-half partnership in the league - they have a bad game when Evanilson plays against them. Like Virgil van Dijk had a bad game when we played against them. Every time we play centre-halves that are brilliant, they always seem to have a bad game against Evanilson. That is not a coincidence. I'm kind of getting to the point where I don't understand people that don't get it with him. We're always better with him in the team.
