The predicted XI returns as Marco Rose navigates a growing injury crisis as Cherries travel to Chelsea tomorrow. The youngsters will look to step up and play their way into a starting spot for Rose's side.
Marco Rose's Cherries side travel to Stamford Bridge tomorrow in their first game back after an extended international break. Injuries have ramped up over the break, with key players like Alex Scott and Junior Kroupi side-lined for the next few weeks at a minimum.
Rose will need to make sure to balance rotation and maintaining a good level of performance with such a busy schedule coming up in the next few months, and below will be how AFCB will balance that in their starting XI.
IMAGO / Mark Pain GK: Djordje Petrovic: The Serbian had was a shining light in a struggling side whenever he got minutes for his country in the Nations League, and will be keen to impress against his former club.
LB: Adrien Truffert: Another player that was impressive in his return to the French national team, and is one of AFC Bournemouth's un-droppable players. He will also be a great way to nullify the threat of Cole Palmer and Estevao if both are fit to play.
CB: Antonio Silva & James Hill: Both players seem to compliment each other really well at the heart of the defence, and will need to be at the top of their game to keep the top scoring Premier League team at bay for the 90 minutes.
RB: Adam Smith: The club captain, and at 35 years of age is still putting in stella performances in all competitions. Experience is valuable when you are taking on a big 6 side away from home, and he provides just that.
CM: Tyler Adams & Alex Toth: Following the injury of Alex Scott on international duty, it is now time for Alex Toth to step up and be the partner in the middle of the park for Tyler Adams. Lewis Cook will also be a great addition to stabilise the midifeld of the bench if needed.
IMAGO / NurPhotoLW: Ben Gannon-Doak: Bournemouth's attacking depth is currently at a minimal level, and the Scottish international deserves to be given his chance to impress from the off tomorrow.
10: Marcus Tavernier: There are not many other options bar Ryan Christie to play in the 10 role, and the 27 year old has maintained a high standard when playing in this position in the latter stages of games.
RW: Rayan: This period over the next month or so is a crucial one for Rayan to find his electric, positive form back from last season, and will look to keep up his form for Brazil.
ST: Evanilson: With 3 assists already this season, Cherries number 9 has put up good numbers so far. He should lead the line and cause a leaky Chelsea defence a number of problems.
