Sources: Noni Madueke expected to make Liverpool away trip

Arsenal travel to Anfield on Sunday to face Liverpool in a fixture the Gunners have not won since 2012 - the squad that day included current boss, Mikel Arteta. Arsenal will vow to end that run this weekend.

Arsenal were without their winger, Noni Madueke for Tuesday night’s trip to Fleetwood, due to an ankle injury the 24-year old sustained in the Everton fixture the previous weekend. Mikel Arteta revealed in his press conference today, that Madueke didn’t train with the squad today, and will be assessed tomorrow.

According to sources, it’s understood Madueke is set to be present for team-training tomorrow and so, is very likely to travel to Merseyside on Saturday evening ahead of a likely feature in Sunday’s PL clash.

In other news, Declan Rice, Christos Tzolis and Riccardo Calafiori all trained today and are in the travelling squad for Liverpool (A).
