Chelsea's home clash with Nottingham Forest shifts to an unusual kick-off slot, making for a potential reschedule to be very awkward for the club.
With the long break between Premier League game weeks 31 and 32, you'd be forgiven for forgetting how important the run is for Chelsea.
The team currently sits in 6th place in the Premier League, only one point behind Liverpool in the final UEFA Champions League spot, but also only six points above 13th-place AFC Bournemouth, so it is all to play for.
With the team out of European competition, and an FA Cup quarter final at home to rock bottom in League One, Port Vale, there is no excuse for the team not to put a run together to try and secure that top five spot.
As we get to the end of April, the schedule begins to get interesting. As it stands, the team is set to face Brighton and Hove Albion away from home on 26th April, in the Sunday primetime 16:30 slot.
However, if the team advances past Port Vale in the FA Cup, that game will have to be postponed, as the semi-finals at Wembley are set to take place that weekend.
As a result, there was anticipation that the game against Brighton would take place the following midweek, commencing on the 4th of May, with the team free that week, as they were no longer in the Champions League.
Well, it appears the game would not be able to take place that week. Indeed, as the home game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, the 2nd of May, has been rescheduled to Monday, the 4th of May, meaning there is no space to play a midweek game.
Interestingly, the game against Forest will not take place in the usual Monday Night Football slot (20:00 BST). Indeed not, with the game set for 15:00 BST instead.
The game falls on a Bank Holiday in the UK, so the game can take place during working hours. Nevertheless, it is extremely rare to see a weekday game take place before 19:30.
There will be the standard evening game that day, with Everton hosting Manchester City - a game that could have potential repercussions for Chelsea's season, with David Moyes' side only two points and two places below Liam Rosenior's side.
Nevertheless, the Forest game will still be live on Sky Sports for fans in the UK, as well as on the standard Monday Night Football slot. So, again, should the team advance past Port Vale, the away game against Brighton will have to take place either before it was scheduled or quite late in May, at the end of the season.
