Everton face Coventry City in the Premier League on Friday, and here is the team news and a predicted XI.
The Toffees are looking to make it three wins from three as they host newly promoted Coventry City in the Premier League on Friday night.
The game comes just a few days after Everton's impressive 1-0 victory away at Newcastle, which may well have been one of their best displays of the season. They now face Coventry, who have picked up some form of late, with Everton looking to get one over their former manager, Frank Lampard.
Everton sit in the top half of the Premier League thanks to their victory over Newcastle, and the game against Coventry is an opportunity to potentially climb into the top four, even if only temporarily.
Coventry have won three of their last five games in the Premier League, so they are certainly a side that Everton can't be taking for granted.
The majority of Evertonians will be expecting a win, however, and it's a real opportunity to continue some momentum and the positive heading into the international break.
Everton team news
Everton manager David Moyes didn't rule out Jarrad Branthwaite for the game, but he has confirmed he's been monitored after his recent injuries.
As expected, Everton are always being incredibly careful with Branthwaite to ensure he remains fit for the entire season, but it sounds like he should be fit enough to make the squad at least.
Moyes also confirmed that, once again, Jack Grealish won't be available for Everton for the fourth game in a row. Grealish is missing due to a disciplinary issue, and it remains to be seen when he's going to return to action for the Toffees.
Other than that, it appears Everton could have a fully fit squad to face Lampard's men.
Predicted Everton XI
Pickford; O'Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite; Mykolenko; Garner, Armstrong; Dibling, Dewsbury-Hall, George; Barry.
It wouldn't be a surprise to see the back four kept the same, provided that Branthwaite is fit enough to start. Everton kept a clean sheet against Newcastle on Monday, and there's no doubt Moyes would like to stick with it if he has a choice.
This is surely a good opportunity to give Tyler Dibling a run-out on the right-hand side, too. Merlin Rohl did well against Newcastle, but this game could be the ideal opportunity to give Dibling some more minutes. Whether Moyes will do that remains to be seen, but it does feel like a likely option for Everton.
Hayden Hackney is undoubtedly pushing for a start, but Moyes has shown a lot of faith in Harrison Armstrong this season.
