0%After falling behind in the first half via a Keane Lewis-Potter header, the Reds scored two second-half goals to complete the turnaround and become the first side to beat Keith Andrews' side this campaign.
IMAGO / NurPhotoHere are our player ratings (out of 10) following the victory in West London.
Alisson Becker - 6/10
Nothing the Brazilian could have done about the Brentford opener and wasn't really tested for the rest of the game.
Milos Kerkez - 6.5/10
Looked a little shaky defensively, but wasn't at direct fault for the goal conceded.
Virgil van Dijk - 7/10
Had a strike from a corner that flashed wide, but was overshadowed by his centre back partner.
Jeremy Jacquet - 8/10
An imperious display from the young French defender made a couple of crucial interceptions and tackles to prevent Brentford from running away with the game, and without his performance, LFC may not have emerged with three points.
IMAGO/Branislav RackoRonald Araujo - 6/10
Only played 45 minutes, looked solid as always and played no part in why Brentford scored their opener.
Alexis Mac Allister - 6.5/10
The senior player in the double pivot for Liverpool today, and despite having plenty of the ball, without the two red cards for the home side, he may have been under more criticism for the lack of control shown in the midfield.
Dominik Szoboszlai - 5/10
Looked off it for the half an hour he played, but his going off injured will be a big concern for LFC.

A threat throughout the game, and he got himself an assist. A few better decisions from the big-money signing, and he could have had two hat tricks in a row.
Florian Wirtz - 7.5/10
A much stronger game from Wirtz in the league, conducted play nicely, could have had a couple more assists if the forwards in front were more clinical, but set up Victor Munoz's goal.

The Spaniard's work rate finally paid off as he got his goal and set the Reds on their way to completing a comeback win.
Alexander Isak - 7.5/10
Was anonymous for large parts of the game, but like all good strikers, when it mattered, he delivered. A goal and 80 minutes played on his return from injury - a good afternoon for the Swedish goalscorer.
Substitutes:
Jeremie Frimpong - 5/10
He was on the pitch for less than 10 minutes before he had to be taken off with a muscle injury.
Rio Ngumoha - 7/10
Impacted the game very positively, looked dangerous whenever he got on the ball and helped in the build-up to the winning goal.
IMAGO / IPS Joe Gomez - 6/10
Came on and helped see out the game, but Brentford posed little threat in the second half.
Lewis Koumas - 6/10
Energy as always, and could have had a chance at a goal had he sorted his feet out in time late in the game.
Trey Nyoni - 6.5/10
Like Alexis Mac Allister, the young Englishman struggled against the Brentford midfield, and without the two red cards in that area of the pitch, a much tougher afternoon could have awaited the young man.
Author's Verdict - Player of The Match - Jeremy Jacquet
It would have been easy to go with one of the two goalscorers for Player of the Match today, but Jeremy Jacquet's performance needs to be praised.
IMAGO/Pro Sports ImagesIn the first half especially, when Liverpool's backs were against the wall, he was the one defending heroically, and when you have a better defensive performance than Virgil van Dijk, you know you are doing something right.
