Recent reports circulating in Germany and Spain, Diario AS revealed Schlotterbeck’s new Dortmund contract reportedly includes a €50 million release clause for selected clubs, with Liverpool believed to be among those eligible to activate it before the end of July.
While no formal bid has been submitted, the fact that multiple European giants have made enquiries highlights the growing reputation of the 26-year-old German international.
Schlotterbeck featured in 28 appearances last season, with five goals and an assist to add to his record.
