SullyTalkz Exclusive: After fears of a heavy collision-fueled injury, Slovenian star Benjamin Šeško joins Michael Carrick’s squad at the Stadium of Light as Manchester United eye a strong Premier League finish.

What MUST Man Utd show in these final three games?

Manchester United are heading into their final three games of the season as Michael Carrick looks to finish the Premier League campaign strongly.

United currently sit third in the table, six points ahead of Liverpool and Aston Villa in fourth and fifth respectively, and have already secured Champions League football for next season.

However, the Reds are still looking to win nine from nine points and finish the season as well as they can heading into the 2026 summer transfer window.

The first of these three games is a trip to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light for the first time since 2017

Sources: Šeško travels to Sunderland

Last time out, United secured their fourth victory in a row, beating Liverpool 32, thanks to goals from Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Šeško, and Kobbie Mainoo.

However, there was some concern during halftime as Šeško was substituted for Amad, having collided heavily with the Old Trafford advertising boards 10 minutes before the break.

Roundtable understands that Šeško’s injury is not serious, and he has travelled with the squad that faces Sunderland on Saturday afternoon, and is expected to be part of the matchday squad.

Whether or not the Slovenian international will start is up to Carrick, but it’s thought there are no major issues with the striker ahead of the fixture.

Who would start if Šeško cannot?

In the event that Šeško has travelled but he’s not deemed fit to start, the obvious replacement in the starting XI would be Amad.

However, Carrick hinted on Thursday afternoon that he may start giving chances to United’s fringe players following their Champions League qualification.

"Yeah, coming into these games, it is something we're aware of,” the United boss admitted when asked if attention would now turn toward the side’s less-favoured players.

"I think it's something that we really keen on playing well and still trying to get good results as well, though, but yeah, it's definitely something to be aware of."

This could see the likes of Joshua Zirkzee finally added into the fold for the first time since Carrick’s appointment, with the Dutchman having performed admirably against Liverpool off the bench last Sunday.

There is also the chance that, within the remaining three games, young winger Shea Lacey could be handed his first start, having scored and impressed once again with the U21S on Friday evening against Manchester City.
