Referee Paul Tierney has been appointed for Manchester United vs Leeds. Lisandro Martínez returns to training as United face a crucial clash amid injury updates.
Manchester United are returning to action on Monday evening after a 24-day break as they welcome bitter rivals Leeds United to Old Trafford in a crunch Premier League clash.
With seven games to go until the season's end, three points are beginning to mean more than ever for both sides. United are third in the table, just one point above Aston Villa, and are looking to strengthen their grasp on Champions League spots.
Meanwhile, despite positive form earlier this year, Leeds find themselves being slowly dragged into a relegation battle with Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham, and Nottingham Forest, sitting just four points above the drop.
It will also be the first time Leeds visit Old Trafford since their return to Premier League duties, with United looking to better themselves after a 1-1 draw at Elland Road between the two sides at the turn of the year.
Premier League confirm United vs Leeds referee
Ahead of the 32nd gameweek of the season, the Premier League has announced who will be officiating the fixtures. For United, Paul Tierney will be the man taking charge of their fixture against Leeds.
Tierney has not taken charge of a United game this season and has officiated across all levels of the English professional pyramid, as well as two FA Cup ties and a Premier League Cup fixture.
The 45-year-old has handed out 24 yellow cards in seven Premier League games this campaign and issued 69 in 20 games across all competitions. Although he has awarded six penalties, one in the Premier League, he's yet to hand out a red card.
During the game, Richard West and Scott Ledger will serve as Tierney's assistant referees. Adam Herczeg will be the fourth official on Monday evening, separating Michael Carrick and Daniel Farke.
John Brooks has been appointed as the Video Assistant Referee. Dan Robathan will act as assistant VAR.
United hoping to see Martínez vs Leeds
Harry Maguire is suspended for the tie following his red card against Bournemouth two weeks ago, but fellow defender Lisandro Martínez has returned to full team training and may start alongside Leny Yoro.
Meanwhile, Mason Mount continues to be back in full training after making a cameo appearance against Bournemouth, having missed the last six weeks of action prior to the international break.
Matthijs de Ligt is still unavailable to play, while Diogo Dalot and Tom Heaton missed the training camp in Ireland due to illness, although both are expected to be fit and ready once the Leeds clash comes to town.
Noussair Mazraoui is also available after missing the Bournemouth game due to illness, while Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu is in recovery from his long-term hamstring injury and could play again later this month.
