Manchester United will play their fifth pre-season fixture on Wednesday evening when they take on fierce Premier League rivals Leeds United in Dublin, Ireland.
The Reds have already played four matches this summer, losing 1-0 to Wrexham before securing victories over Rosenborg and Atletico Madrid. They then drew 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday afternoon.
Several first-team players could return against Leeds. Matheus Cunha missed the draw with PSG through illness but is now in contention to make his first appearance since returning from the World Cup, while Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo could also feature.
With less than two weeks remaining until the 2026/27 campaign begins, United are stepping up their preparations during a week-long training camp in Ireland. After facing Leeds, the Reds will travel to Poland to take on AC Milan on Saturday.

What happened: After missing the last three games of last campaign due to a shin injury, United have decided to take it slow regarding his rehabilitation. While most of the squad have trained together, Šeško has been on his own individual programme.
What's been said: The Slovenian is yet to play a game for United in pre-season, although there is no cause for concern regarding his own fitness work. It was reported last week that there is hope he may be handed minutes against AC Milan on Saturday afternoon.

Lisandro Martínez
What happened: Lisandro Martínez started in the World Cup final for Argentina, but had to go off toward the end of the first half with an injury. He then did not travel with the rest of the squad to Ireland on Monday.
What's been said: On Tuesday morning, the centre-back was spotted arriving with the squad, and there are no issues expected ahead of the tie against Leeds.

Senne Lammens
What happened: Senne Lammens returned to United almost two weeks ago, but has yet to feature. Having missed the Atleti tie because it was too soon for him to play, he then did not play against PSG due to illness.
What's been said: The Belgian international has since travelled with the squad to Ireland and been involved in full training, suggesting that there are no lasting problems.

Mason Mount
What happened: Mason Mount came off after 22 minutes against PSG, having started all four of United's pre-season fixtures this summer.
What's been said: "He got kicked," Carrick explained after the game. "We just wanted to be careful and look after him. We've been lucky with injuries so far, so we wanted to be careful."

Matheus Cunha
What happened: Much like Lammens, winger Cunha did not travel to play against PSG due to illness.
What's been said: The United fan favourite has been involved in full training for the last few days and is expected to be handed this first minutes this summer without any major problems.

Matthijs de Ligt
What happened: Matthijs de Ligt played United's first 13 league fixtures last season and was brilliant, but a back injury ruled him out of the remainder of the campaign. He then underwent back surgery at the end of the season.
What's been said: Since then, United announced that the Netherlands international was involved in the opening parts of some training sessions in Ireland, although he is not expected back any time soon.
Possible return date: Early October.
