A violent training ground bust-up leaves Federico Valverde frozen out in Spain, clearing the path for Michael Carrick to lure the Uruguayan powerhouse to Old Trafford.

How do Man Utd replace Bruno Fernandes?

Manchester United is a team that has been described as being in 'turmoil' a few times in recent memory, which has led to players leaving much sooner than the club originally planned.

Currently, they find themselves in a comfortable position both on and off the pitch, thanks to a positive dressing room atmosphere and an impressive third place in the Premier League table, hugely credited to interim boss Michael Carrick who has transformed the side since his appointment in January.

The same cannot be said for European giants Real Madrid, who are reportedly in a state of chaos behind the scenes due to a training ground bust-up which led to one of their star players having to be taken to hospital for treatment on a concussion.

The 15-time Champions League winners are trying to fix a dressing room that has been shattered by the incident, which leaked into the media, causing mass debate throughout social media on the situation, and has left Los Blancos in an extremely vulnerable state.

United eyeing up Madrid outcast Valverde

The training incident between Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde has left the Uruguayan sidelined for the remainder of the season. It is also reported that the Real vice-captain issued a public apology, but it is understood that the club's higher-ups are still furious and are considering selling him in the upcoming transfer window.

The players in the Madrid dressing room also seems to have sided with Tchouameni, adding even more pressure for Valverde to find a move away from the club. However, this incident may open an opportunity to other clubs looking to bolster their midfield options this summer.

Manchester United undoubtedly need to make at least two signings in this area of the field, and according to The Mirror, the Red Devils are weighing up a shock move for the 27-year-old, who would bring a serious attacking threat to the middle of the park at Old Trafford.

This comes amid the report also claiming that, despite his apology, those at Real Madrid remain furious with the uruguayan international and would be willing to sell him this summer.

It has not yet been reported whether Valverde would be interested in a move to Manchester, who is under contract at Real until 2029. It also goes without saying that a huge fee would be required in order to purchase the Uruguayan international, who is rated as one of the best midfielders in Europe.

Valverde signing would show serious intent from United

United have already qualified for Champions League football, and therefore have became a more attractive outfit for some of the top talents in world football. Making a signing of this magnitude would send a message to other Premier League clubs that United are going to make a serious title challenge in the upcoming campaign.

Casemiro's departure has become more and more significant each time he has played during Carrick's spell, as the Brazilian has been a standout player in his improved performances and goalscoring threat.

The signing of Valverde could see one former Los Blancos exit and another join, which would if nothing else, bring a player into the dressing room with a winners mentality. Potentially adding to the positive environment leading into the upcoming season where United will surely be aiming to win most competitions they are involved in.

Obviously interest will be shown in Valverde from other huge European clubs, and it is up to the player himself who he chooses to join, if he moves at all. But if United were to get the deal over the line it would display to other clubs that they still possess the pulling power to attract global superstars.
