Manchester United and Arsenal are tracking an AFC Bournemouth star, despite contract talks set to take place.

Carrick to have a large say in transfers this summer. More Videos

Manchester United look set to complete the first signing of the transfer window in the coming weeks, as Atalanta's Éderson appears to have agreed personal terms with the club.

The Brazilian midfielder could be one of several new additions to the engine room this summer.

Casemiro has already left the club upon the expiry of his contract at Old Trafford, while Manuel Ugarte also looks likely to leave Manchester this summer after struggling for game time since Michael Carrick took charge.

Roundtable understands that Carrick is set to have a large say in transfers this summer, which could be crucial for which midfielders United choose to pursue, having been linked to several different profiles.

However, Carrick will also have a say in transfers in other positions, and United have been linked with left-backs and left-wingers ahead of the window opening next month.

United track Bournemouth forward

AFC Bournemouth could be set for somewhat of a yard sale this summer, having already lost their manager, Andoni Iraola, after his contract expired at the end of the season.

Marcos Senesi - who United were interested in - looks set to follow him, having agreed a four-year contract with Tottenham Hotspur. Eli Junior Kroupi could be the next one to leave the club this summer.

TalkSPORT have reported that while Bournemouth are planning to keep Kroupi at the club this summer, he is being tracked by Arsenal and United after his first season in England.

Kroupi is one of three Bournemouth stars set for contract talks, as reported by BBC Sport. Rayan and Alex Scott are also set for a new deal, as the Cherries prepare for their Europa League campaign next season.

The 19-year-old could join United as a new left-winger to provide competition for Matheus Cunha and Patrick Dorgu next season, although he has played across the frontline for Bournemouth.

Should United sign a left-back or a left-winger?

The majority of United's finances is expected to be spent on midfielders this summer, with reports stating the club could look to sign at least two new players for the engine room.

This could leave little funding for other positions, so the recruitment team must consider which positions should be prioritised.

With Patrick Dorgu proving a versatile option on the left flank, he could fill in for the position which United chose not to sign this summer. For example, if United sign Kroupi this summer, Dorgu would drop back to left-back to compete with Luke Shaw, but if they sign Lewis Hall, Dorgu would continue to fight with Cunha on the left wing.

Shaw is unlikely to be able to play more than 40 games next season, despite starting every Premier League match this campaign, so a left-back would be a sensible choice.
