Oliver Glasner has issued a fresh fitness update before Nottingham Forest's trip to face Brentford on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner has issued the latest fitness update ahead of the Reds' trip to face Brentford on Saturday.

Forest have won just one game so far this season, and are currently in the midst of a bleak four-game winless streak.

The Reds have played relatively well, despite the poor results, with profligacy a key factor behind their struggles.

As they head to west London on Saturday, Forest will enjoy the boost of the return of star wing-back Neco Williams.

The Welsh international was forced off late in Forest's 1-1 draw away to Ipswich Town last Friday due to an awkward landing.

Despite some initial concern, Glasner has confirmed that Williams has trained all week, and is ready to face Brentford.

‘He is okay," Glasner insisted. "He fell on his nerve [elbow], so it was painful, but he has trained the entire week.’

Williams may be available, but there are still a few players sidelined for Forest, as well as a fresh doubt for Glasner to contend with ahead of Saturday's trip to the Gtech Community Stadium.

The Austrian head coach has confirmed that Nicolo Savona and Igor Jesus remained sidelined, while Nicolas Dominguez, and now Dan Ndoye, are doubts.

"Savona and Igor are still out," he conceded. "Nicolás Domínguez is progressing well, and will hopefully train tomorrow. There is a doubt with Dan Ndoye. We will see if he can train tomorrow. He should be okay for [the game against Manchester] City."

Forest's game at Brentford will get underway from 3pm GMT on Saturday, 31 October, when Glasner will be hoping for treats, rather than any tricks, in the capital.
