A look at how Forest got on individually as they beat Stade Brestois 2-0 to conclude pre-season.
Nottingham Forest beat Stade Brestois 2-0 at the City Ground on Sunday to round off their pre-season campaign.
It was a second-string Forest side that featured, after the news that we brought you shortly before kick-off that the big-hitters played a behind-closed-doors friendly against Coventry City on Saturday.
Against Brest, a strong first-half showing saw Forest comfortably ahead, and while the pace slowed in the second 45, their control saw them carry a 2-0 win across the finishing line.
There were plenty of positives to take collectively and individually , with plenty of food for thought for Oliver Glasner.
Nottingham Forest player ratings
John Victor (GK) - 6/10: Did not have loads to do, but handled what was asked of him well, and no issues in possession.
Jair Cunha - 6/10: A solid showing and did nothing wrong. Some pleasing physicality at times, too.
Zach Abbott - 5/10: A couple of nervy moments but it was not costly.
Morato - 6/10: Did not stand out too much, but equally did not have much to do, which he cannot be blamed for.
Eric Da Silva Moreira - 7/10: Another really encouraging display from the youngster, who provided plenty of threat down the right-hand side. Excellent work rate too to ensure it did not come at the expense of his defensive duties.
Xaver Schlager - 6/10: Some really nice footwork and pressing in the middle of the park. A lot to like, again.
Nicolas Dominguez - 7/10: A sensational pass to assist Luca Netz’s goal, and some nice general play.
Luca Netz - 8/10: Great work at both ends of the pitch. Won the penalty for Chris Wood’s goal, and scored Forest’s second with an excellent finish. Some important moments at the back too, which he handled very calmly.
Callum Hudson-Odoi - 7/10: Carried plenty of threat and produced a lovely ball into the box to help set up Luca Netz’s goal.
Arnaut Kalimuendo - 7/10: Some bright moments down the right, played an important role in the build-up to the penalty.
Chris Wood - 7/10: Some really nice hold-up play, and a well-taken penalty, scoring to the keeper’s right-hand side. A very encouraging showing after his injury scare last weekend.
