Post-match thoughts from Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner, who said his side did enough to win despite losing 1-0 at home to Leeds United.

Nottingham Forest head coach Oliver Glasner has said his side did enough to beat Leeds United despite losing 1-0 in their opening Premier League match.

Glasner did not get a win to commemorate his first competitive game in charge of Nottingnham Forest, as Forest were narrowly edged out by Leeds.

Forest were poor for large spells of the game, and were ultimately undone by a set-piece, but there were several moments where Forest looked close to penetrating the Leeds defence.

Reflecting on the game, Glasner highlighted his frustration about losing to a set piece, but insisted that his side did enough to win besides that.

"I think we did enough to win," Glasner insisted. "It was one situation that decided the game.

"I told the players before the game, after analysing Leeds, 'whoever wins the set-piece battle will win the game', and it was one set piece [that decided the game].

"In the second half, we were better, and better in the game. We played more in their half and created a few dangerous situations, but I think we could have done better, definitely before.

"If you make two mistakes in the Premier League, you will be punished."

But the Austrian head coach reemphasised Leeds' quality, insisting that Forest were up against a very good side today.

"I mentioned in the pre-game press conference that Leeds had a fantastic end to the season, losing only their last game and being unbeaten in the eight before.

"This is the way they play; very physical, very aggressive, [they give opponents] no time. It took us 15/20 minutes to get better into the game."
