Nottingham Forest have been handed a fresh injury boost, Oliver Glasner has confirmed.

Oliver Glasner has offered the latest update on the fitness of some key Nottingham Forest stars.

When Forest won at Villa Park last weekend, a cloud loomed over the game, despite the excellent result, after Nikola Milenkovic and Jair Cunha both missed the game due to hamstring issues.

Fans have been sweating on the fitness of the defensive duo, not helped by already limited lack of depth in that area, but the latest update is somewhat positive.

Glasner revealed that Jair has resumed training, but reiterated his previous comments that Milenkovic will not be available at the weekend.

"Nikola, no," Glasner conceded. "I mentioned after the game [against Aston Villa], he will miss the Coventry game, but Jair trained with us today.

"To be honest it was a very light session. He did some top work, looks okay, so now we have to wait for the reaction [on his body].

"Hopefully, if there is no reaction and he can train with us, he will be available. And all other players other than Savona and Milenkovic are available."

Jair's Brazil call-up

News of Jair's potential injury arrived at a devastating time, just days after the 21-year-old received his first-ever Brazil call-up for the upcoming international break.

But with this positive update, Glasner has confirmed that there is still hope that Jair can travel with the Brazil squad for their games against Australia and India.

"I think if he can be involved in the Coventry game then he will go with Brazil."
