Oliver Glasner held no punches with his damning assessment of his Nottingham Forest side's 2-0 defeat away to Brentford on Saturday.

Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner has issued a scathing assessment of his side's 2-0 loss away to Brentford on Saturday.

Forest have now won just one of their last 10 games in all competitions and are winless in their last five.

The biggest problem facing the Reds is a severe lack of goals, having scored just six goals - the fewest of any team in the Premier League so far this season.

Speaking after the game, Glasner offered a damning response and insisted that changes will follow the Reds' latest defeat.

“Just talking about the result today, it's disappointing and frustrating, and we have to accept it's not good enough," he insisted. "If we lose four of the last five games, it's not good enough!

“And that's why, for me, it's now time that we change things, that I change things. That's what I will do.”

Glasner held no punches in his explanation of where changes would come, as he also conceded that he has been too lenient during his tenure so far.

“Everywhere," he stated. "I could see a few things from day one. I feel now that maybe I made too many compromises in some stuff.

“It's a clear way. I will tell them [the players] what we want to do, what we have to do, and if the players buy in, I think we can have a turnaround. If not, the sixth manager will come in.”

The Austrian continued his furious rant and admitted that the size of the challenge at hand is bigger than he had initially envisaged.

“Nobody needs to have pity for Oliver Glasner,” he insisted. “If I want, I could start in two weeks somewhere else. I won't do it. But the players, the staff, they remain in the same situation - and it's the same **** situation the club had last year.

“So you need to change and rebuild from the bottom to the top. This is clear for me, and this is what I will do, without any compromises. Zero. Zero. And if these things don't work, they will let me know.

“I didn't come to Nottingham because I was bored at home. No, I came to Nottingham to succeed.

"I came to Nottingham to get the visions of the owner and the fans and the club to reality. And therefore we need to have a bigger change than maybe I thought, to be honest.”
