Early Sunderland injury update ahead of Poznan clash

Sunderland travel to Lech Poznan in the Europa League on Thursday evening as the Black Cats look to get back to winning ways following the shocking defeat at Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday.

As reported by Sunderland Echo reporter James Copley on X, Regis Le Bris will be without Omar Alderete, who has not travelled with the Sunderland squad to face the Polish champions due to a seeming injury issue, as yet unconfirmed by the Black Cats boss.

Additionally, Wilson Isidor and Thomas Meunier are training individually and therefore doubtful for the fixture, but Habib Diarra and Brian Brobbey are fit-again and in contention to start.

Given the injuries and the performance against SCU Torreense last week in the competition, it will be interesting to see how will Le Bris line Sunderland up as they look for their third consecutive Europa League win of the season.
