Sunderland beat Ligue 1 giants RC Lens 2-0 in a pre-season friendly win on Saturday afternoon courtesy of second-half goals from Trai Hume and Wilson Isidor.
Regis Le Bris was without central defenders Nordi Mukiele and Omar Alderete for the victory against Lens, with Mukiele out having picked up a knock against Wrexham in the USA, and Alderete still recovering from his injury for Paraguay at the World Cup.
The Sunderland boss remains hopeful both will part of the squad to face Ipswich Town in the opening day visit, but has outlined that they may not be fit enough to start.
If both Mukiele and Alderete are injured for opening day, which two Sunderland centre-backs should Le Bris start at Ipswich?
