Sunderland need honest conversations - Roefs

Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs wants the Black Cats to be honest with each other following the 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Sunday.

Sunderland now sit bottom of the Premier League table, with the Cherries defeat becoming their fourth consecutive league loss, in yet another subpar performance.

If not for Roefs, it could have easily been 5-0 to Bournemouth at half-time, with the Sunderland shot-stopper now placing the onus on himself and his teammates to save their season.

After Bournemouth, Roefs said: "We need to put the work in every day and not just today to make sure we turn this around and be honest with each other. Also keep the spirits up."

With Lech Poznan and Leeds United up this week, this will be needed in the Academy of Light dressing room as the Black Cats head to disaster stations.
