Sunderland came back from a goal behind to dramatically beat Portuguese second division side SCU Torreense in the Europa League on Thursday evening, courtesy of goals from Jules Ahoka and Noah Sadiki's injury time stunner.
Torreense took the lead with defender Volnei's jaw-dropping effort from distance, seeing Sunderland a goal down at half-time.
However, Regis Le Bris' substituions before the hour mark changed the game in Sunderland's favour, seeing Ahoka equalise with a deft header on 67' and his compatriot Sadiki net a venomous hit in the third of six minutes of added time to send the travelling Wearside faithful into raptures.
Not a vintage win, but an important one and a confidence-building comeback, although Sunderland should be beating a side sat close to the relegation zone of Portugal's second tier far more comfortably.
Nevertheless, two wins from two in Europe. Onto Sunday's trip to Bournemouth for the Black Cats.
