Sunderland face Lech Poznan in the Europa League on Thursday evening on the back of their 2-0 Premier League defeat at Bournemouth last time out.

Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki and his Black Cats teammates are determined to respond in Thursday evening's Europa League clash at Lech Poznan following their latest Premier League defeat at Bournemouth.

Last time out, Bournemouth beat Sunderland 2-0, with the Black Cats one goal and one man down with just 16 minutes on the clock after Marcus Tavernier's early opener and Kevin Danso's instant dismissal, with Evanilson doubling the Cherries' lead early in the second half.

Fortunately for Sunderland, the Black Cats have a chance to get back to winning ways with the trip to Poznan on Thursday evening, as Regis Le Bris' side look to continue their victorious Europa League streak after last week's comeback win over SCU Torreense.

Within the Torreense win, Sadiki scored an emphatic 90+3'-minute winner to open his account for the club in timely style, and now the energetic midfielder is hoping Sunderland can "bounce back" after some honest dressing room discussions.

Despite their impressive form in Europe, Sunderland are now on a four-game losing streak in the Premier League and have therefore slumped to the bottom of the Premier League table in the early stages, just months after finishing seventh last term.

Given Polish champions Lech Poznan's poor form in the Europa League ahead of the visit of Sunderland, on paper the fixture offers Sunderland a golden opportunity to get back to winning ways with a confidence-building win, with one eye on the visit of Leeds United to the Stadium of Light on Sunday afternoon.

In Sunderland's pre-Poznan press conference, Sadiki revealed that Regis Le Bris' squad have had an honest and "good talk together", and are now ready to do their talking on the pitch and resurrect their substandard start to the season.

Sadiki said: "The last few days have been difficult, but we had a good talk together and put on the table what we need to do better.

"We’ve had enough of talking. The pitch is going to talk for us now. Our aim is to bounce back. We’re ready to respond."

Sunderland Ace Noah Sadiki Wants To Add Goals To His Game

Sadiki was both the match-winner and man-of-the-match contenderr against Torreense last time out in the Europa League, with his stunning injury-time strike capping off a standout display in the heart of midfield.

During the win, Sadiki enjoyed the most touches (seven) of any player in the opposition box, and showcased with his goal that the box-to-box midfielder is improving the attacking aspects of his game.

Therefore, the DR Congo international is also determined to add to his Sunderland tally over the course of the campaign, working his way towards becoming the complete midfielder if he does so.

Sadiki added: "Scoring a goal is the best feeling you can have on a football pitch, and it’s something I have been working on.

"I was really happy to help the team against Torreense, and I hope I can score even more."

Sadiki and the rest of his Sunderland teammates must see out nothing less than a convincing win against Poznan, who are currently bottom of the Europa League league phase, to hopefully kickstart a desperately-needed winning run with Leeds up next in the league on Sunday.
