It has been reported that Paris Saint-Germain will allow Marquinhos to leave the club, but their latest stance has now been revealed.

Having won back-to-back Champions League titles, Paris Saint-Germain are in a strong place this summer, especially as Luis Enrique appears to have decided to stay put, despite interest from the Premier League.

Their focus this summer will be on increasing their already brilliant squad and fighting off the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United for Bradley Barcola.

However, it seems PSG may have to worry about more than just their talented wide player, as a report has stated that Marquinhos would be allowed to leave the club if he wants to.

Marquinhos has captained PSG to both of their Champions League wins, not to mention several Ligue 1 titles and French Cup wins.

While this seems to be the club's stance, it appears that the Brazilian defender wants to remain in Paris, as per Fabrice Hawkins.

He has also reported that PSG are eyeing a new central defender this summer, with the preferred option being a player who can play as a left-back, too.

This has created more uncertainty amongst the PSG ranks, as that is the role Lucas Hernandez has played since his move to the French capital.

Keeping Marquinhos - despite their stance on the Brazilian - will be crucial if PSG want to attempt a third Champions League win in a row, but their interest in another defender could indicate they are looking at forming a new backline without Marquinhos.
