The journalist has confirmed that the agreement is done for the next Celtic signing of the summer.
Celtic fans would have enjoyed seeing the Rangers suffer a 2-1 defeat away in Poland to Jagiellonia Bialystok, the club the Hoops had signed Patryk Klimala from all those years back. So, there is a possibility that Derek McInnes' side might not even make the Europa League this season.
Celtic will be spending a lot more time worrying about themselves though. Their own Flag Day performance was not the best, as it became clear that a lot of their problems still remain.
Camilo Duran, who had looked so effective in pre-season through the middle, did not make much of an impact on the right.
Now, it looks like the Hoops are on the verge of signing a winger who will operate there regularly, freeing up Duran to compete with Kasper Hogh, who had a nightmare debut performance, for the starting role up top.
Celtic reportedly agree deal for next signing
According to George Tsarouchas, the agreement is done, 100 per cent. Haissem Hassan is going to be a Celtic player.
It looks like this is a move that will be over the line quickly as well. As the journalist points out Hassan has agreed a contract until 2030 and there is a huge bonus to him and Real Oviedo if Celtic enter the main phase of the Champions League.
Of course, Celtic have struggled to get past the qualification rounds for years now. So, getting signings over the line before those games would be the best step forward for them.
In the past, we have seen the club leave signings for after the qualification rounds, and it has cost them a spot in the Champions League. Hopefully, the same mistake won't be made this summer as well.
Why Hassan could be a good signing for Celtic
If the move for Hassan does indeed take place, it would be the club's third addition of the window. And the good news is that none of them have been project signings.
Obviously, you can never predict how things will work out. But if you look at Hogh, Duran and Hassan, these are players who have been brought in with the intention of challenging for starting spots immeditely.

Hassan might not have had a brilliant 25/26 campaign with Real Oviedo, as they got relegated, but he did impress in certain aspects of his game, especially his dribbling.
Celtic could do with a winger who is happy to take his man on and has the ability to get past him. And if Hassan can improve on his final output at the same time, he would be an asset to this team.
