Despite scoring the late winner against St Mirren, the Rangers forward has seemingly fallen down the pecking order.
Rangers have finally started to reap the rewards of their squad reinforcement efforts during this year's summer transfer window.
New manager Derek McInnes faced heavy criticism following a series of negative results, as frustrations grew early in the season.
However, recent displays have restored the Ibrox faithful's confidence in the side, especially after their dominating performance against Celtic last Sunday.
The Gers scored three past the Celts without the presence of two of McInnes's first-choice center-forwards, Youssef Chermiti and Lawrence Shankland, to enter the semifinals of the Scottish League Cup.
A lot of that credit goes to the Light Blues' recent recruits, Ryan Naderi and Kevin Kelsy, who have seemingly filled the void with their brilliant performances recently.
Both Naderi and Kelsy are most likely to start in this Sunday's Old Firm game at Celtic Park as Chermiti and Shankland remain to be sidelined due to their respective injuries.
Although as for Bojan Miovski, his career with the Light Blues has seemingly started to go downhill already, despite his scoring a late winner for his side against St Mirren earlier this month.
A recent article from Football Insider suggests that McInnes currently prefers Kelsy and Naderi over Miovski and as it seems, his situation is unlikely to change this season.
The North Macedonian center-forward's future at the club was already in doubt during the summer transfer window after Shankland's signing was completed.
Both Feyenoord and Genclerbirligi showed interest in the 27-year-old but failed to reach an agreement, as Miovski sacked his agent out of frustration
Now despite earning heavy praise from his manager after scoring the winner against the Saints in the death, Miovski has once again fallen down the pecking order behind the High flying attacking duo of Naderi and Kelsy.
The Teddy Bears are unlikely to let go of the out-of-favor striker during the winter transfer window, as Chermiti is already ruled out for the remainder of the season, while Shankland is expected to return around the January transfer window.
The North Macedonian forward did his job quite well since arriving last summer. He scored a total of 13 goals in all competitions last season, despite playing less than 2,000 minutes overall.
In spite of all that, as things stand, Miovski will play a similar role under McInnes to the one he did under Danny Rohl during the previous campaign. He is unlikely to start ahead of the two young center-forwards, despite the absence of Shankland and Chermiti.
