A €16M offer for Olympiacos winger Andre Luiz did not come from Wolves, according to reports. Olympiacos now values the Brazilian at €25M as the transfer race heats up.

New information regarding a rumoured 16 million euros offer for Olympiacos winger Andre Luiz fuels the transfer saga beyond Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to the latest update on TransferFeed, a 16-million-euro offer that was made to the Olympiacos management a few days ago for the transfer of Andre Luiz did not come from Championship side Wolves.

An earlier report by Evangelos Michos of Sportal.gr (covered by Roundtable) revealed an unconfirmed bid by the Molineux Stadium dwellers for the Red and Whites player. Since the proposal was around the mentioned figure, Wolves were the only club among the possible competitors with the financial power to make it.

Andre Luiz has begun pre-season sessions with Olympiacos in the last few days as social media photos suggest. While he is yet to become a regular player in head coach Jose Luis Mendilibar's system at the Piraeus-based outfit, the club was initially ready to give him another season, having spent time and resources scouting him at Portuguese side Rio Ave. The 24-year-old signed for the Greek giants in the winter transfer window of 2026, rejecting Wolves and several other interested parties from around Europe.

Despite undergoing a considerable season with Rio Ave in the Primeira Liga, Luiz found it difficult to break into the starting eleven at Olympiacos. He has been benched quite a lot of times in the last campaign simply because of the non-EU player restriction rules.

Independent news outlet Thrylos 7 International reports that Mendilibar's side values the Brazilian international at a figure around 25 million euros. It remains to be seen if any club, even from the Premier League or the English second division, considers this new valuation. Kostas Nikolakopoulos reveals that Rio Ave had an offer reaching 17 million euros in January, and this is the reason why Olympiacos is aiming higher for Luiz this summer.

However, these latest developments make it clear that the competition for Luiz is a multi-club affair, and more sides are expected to join the race in the coming days, hence the increased valuation for the player by the Greeks. Wolves are not the only club with ambition in this saga, as the undisclosed outfit is also firmly interested in securing the former Flamengo man's services ahead of the new season.

More details are set to emerge soon, and we will keep you posted with all the recent information that surfaces regarding Luiz.
