Arpichaya Yubol fired a bogey-free 66 at Mayakoba, moving to solo second before a dream Sunday pairing with Nelly Korda.
Arpichaya Yubol made a serious Sunday statement at the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba, and now she gets the dream pairing to match it.
The 23-year-old from Thailand shot a bogey-free 6-under 66 on Saturday at El Camaleon Golf Course, climbing into solo second place at 11-under 205.

That puts her three shots behind world No. 1 Nelly Korda heading into the final round of the LPGA Tour event in Mexico.
Yubol’s round was exactly what works at Mayakoba: fairways, greens, patience and no wasted shots. With coastal wind making the Yucatan Peninsula layout tricky, she kept the ball in play and gave herself clean looks all afternoon.
She birdied the par-3 fourth, par-5 seventh and par-3 eighth to make the turn in 33. Then she stayed aggressive without getting reckless, adding birdies at Nos. 12, 17 and 18 for another 33 on the back nine.
The final birdie gave Yubol her best round of the week and pushed her into the final group with Korda and Minami Katsu. They’ll tee off Sunday at 8:57 a.m. ET.
The moment comes with extra emotion. Sunday is Yubol’s 24th birthday, and it’ll be her first LPGA round alongside Korda, one of the players she has long admired along with Lydia Ko.
There’s also a family layer. Yubol’s father is caddying for her this week, making the career opportunity feel even bigger. She finished tied for ninth at Mayakoba in 2025, but this time she’s chasing far more than another strong finish.
Korda still has the lead. But Yubol has momentum, a clean scorecard and one unforgettable birthday stage.
