Stewart Cink enters the Insperity Invitational red-hot, leading a star-studded PGA TOUR Champions field in The Woodlands.

The PGA TOUR Champions schedule rolls into Texas this week, and the spotlight is firmly on Stewart Cink at the Insperity Invitational in The Woodlands.

Cink arrives as the defending champion and the hottest player on the Champions Tour, fresh off a win at the Regions Tradition.

He’s now claimed four victories in just eight starts during the 2026 season, making him the clear favorite heading into one of the circuit’s premier events.

Last year, Cink needed a playoff to secure the title, knocking off Retief Goosen with a birdie on the 18th hole. Goosen, currently ranked No. 3 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, is back in the field and looking for redemption.

The tournament also boasts a deep lineup of golf legends. Bernhard Langer, a four-time winner of this event (2007, 2008, 2014, 2018), returns to a course where he owns multiple scoring records, including a 62 for the lowest round and a 191 total for 54 holes.

Fred Couples, Padraig Harrington, Ernie Els, Vijay Singh and Colin Montgomerie round out a loaded group of World Golf Hall of Famers competing this week.

The Woodlands Country Club will once again test the field with its par-72, 7,002-yard layout. With a $3 million purse and $450,000 going to the winner, there’s plenty on the line beyond bragging rights.

Cink’s consistency and current form make him the player to beat, but with so many accomplished veterans in contention, this week’s event feels wide open.

Coverage will air on Golf Channel throughout the weekend, giving fans a chance to watch some of the game’s most recognizable names battle it out in Texas.
