Tony Finau returns home as the FedExCup Fall heats up, with Jackson Koivun, Michael Brennan and several bubble players chasing crucial points.

As the FedExCup Fall continues, every point matters, and few players have more at stake than Tony Finau.

The Salt Lake City native is set to play the event for the first time while sitting right on the edge of the FedExCup Fall cutoff at No. 100.

The tournament runs Oct. 1-4 in Ivins, Utah, with 500 FedExCup points going to the winner.

Finau won’t be the only big name drawing attention.

Defending champion Michael Brennan returns after breaking through at Black Desert last year, and he enters as one of the top players in the field.

Rising star Jackson Koivun is also making the trip after a strong Presidents Cup performance in Chicago, adding another layer of intrigue to a field filled with young talent.

The International side is well represented, too, with Nick Taylor, Christiaan Bezuidenhout and Taylor Pendrith all scheduled to tee it up.

There’s also serious urgency further down the standings.

Billy Horschel enters at No. 101, while players ranked just outside the top 100 are fighting to secure status and improve their position before the FedExCup Fall winds down. That makes Utah less of a sleepy fall stop and more of a pressure cooker.

The course itself adds to the drama.

Black Desert Resort is a par-71 layout stretching 7,421 yards, carved through a dramatic lava field with wide fairways and just two water hazards.

It’s still one of the newer venues on Tour, but players already know low scores are available if they stay aggressive.

Other notable names include Max Homa, Maverick McNealy, Rasmus Højgaard, Luke Clanton, David Ford and Ben James.

For Finau, though, the storyline is obvious. He’s finally home.

And with his FedExCup standing sitting on the bubble, this homecoming comes with real pressure attached.
