The Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners' respective seasons will come down to a final game Monday

It all comes down to one game.

The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Seattle Mariners 6-2 in Game 6 of the best-of-seven American League Championship Series on Sunday at Rogers Centre in Toronto.

With the victory, the Blue Jays forced Game 7. The situation is now simple for both teams. Win, and they go to the World Series to face the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lose, and the most promising season in decades for both teams (the best season for the Mariners) is over.

Sunday marked the second matchup of the series between Toronto starting pitcher Trey Yesavage and Seattle starter Logan Gilbert.

Unlike Game 2, in which the Mariners won 10-3, the Blue Jays delivered Yesavage the victory.

Yesavage finished the game with seven strikeouts, three walks, one wild pitch and two earned runs allowed on six hits in 5.2 innings pitched.

Yesavage, who was Toronto's first-round pick in the 2024 MLB Draft, is the youngest starting pitcher (22-years-old) to start and win multiple postseason games in MLB history since Madison Bumgarner in 2010 (21-years-old).

The Blue Jays started with the lead and built on it to put Seattle in catch-up mode.

In the bottom of the second, right fielder Addison Barger hit an RBI single and second baseman Isiah Kiner-Falefa hit an RBI single to give Toronto a 2-0 lead.

Barger bolstered that advantage to 4-0 in the bottom of the third with a two-run home run.

First baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. continued his superstar postseason performance with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth that resulted in a 5-0 Blue Jays lead.

Entering Monday, Guerrero has scored 11 runs in 10 playoff games and has hit three doubles and six homers with 12 RBIs. He's slashed .462/.532/1.000 with a 1.532 OPS.

The Mariners didn't get on the board until the top of sixth. First baseman Josh Naylor hit a solo home run and third baseman Eugenio Suarez hit an RBI single to cut Toronto's lead to 5-2.

Guerrero scored on a wild pitch thrown by Seattle reliever Matt Brash in the bottom of the seventh for the eventual final of 6-2.

The two teams will play the win-or-go-home Game 7 at 5:08 p.m. PT/8:08 p.m. ET on Monday at Rogers Centre in Toronto. Shane Bieber will start for Toronto and George Kirby will start for the Mariners.
