With November upon us, here's what you need to know in the one month until the MLB lockout probably takes hold.

Well, November is here, and that means that the baseball world has one month of offseason normalcy until its plunged into the probable MLB lockout for who knows how long.

In that one month, the Toronto Blue Jays will try to do all they can to improve upon a 79-83 record from 2026 and get back to the playoffs in 2027.

Here are the key dates coming and things you should be aware of.

Nov. 1 - Gold Glove winners announced

The awards show takes place at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN and the Blue Jays have five players up for Gold Glove awards: Brandon Valenzuela (C), Jose Soriano (P), Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (1B), Andres Gimenez (SS) and Nathan Lukes (RF).

Nov. 2 - 40-man roster compliance, options and qualifying offers

Monday is a big day with many things going on.

1) The Blue Jays need to have their 40-man roster set. Luckily for them, they have two open spots as of this posting, so they are in a position to add, rather than subtract. The deadline is 5 p.m. ET.

2) Monday is also the day that the Blue Jays need to decide on contract options, and they have a decision to make on Myles Straw's $8 million option. We covered that situation in the hyperlink in this sentence.

3) The Blue Jays also have until 5 p.m. ET to make a qualifying offer to any of their free agents. That QO is worth about $23 million. Shane Bieber is the only free agent that comes close to warranting a QO, though it still feels doubtful.

Nov. 9-12 - General managers meetings

These meetings will bring the baseball world together in Las Vegas and will represent the first meaningful chances for teams to talk with other teams - and agents for free agents. If there aren't winter meetings in December because of a lockout, these meetings could be ultra-important in trying to spearhead some early offseason action for the Jays.

Nov. 17 - Qualifying offer decisions and Rule-5 protection

If the Blue Jays issue any qualifying offers, this is the deadline for players to accept them. It's also another chance for 40-man roster tinkering as the Jays have until this day to promote qualified minor leaguers to protect them from the Rule-5 Draft.

Nov. 20 - Non-tender deadline

If the Blue Jays don't want to bring back any arbitration-eligible players, this is the deadline to not tender them a contract. We covered some of the possibilities here.

Dec. 1, 11:59 p.m. ET

The Collective Bargaining Agreement will end and the sport will likely be sent into a deep freeze over labor negotiations.
