Milwaukee Brewers' Andrew Fischer continues to make his case as one of the most productive power hitters in the Minor Leagues.
Andrew Fischer continues to add to an impressive 2026 campaign, earning another spot on the Prospect Team of the Week after an outstanding stretch with the Biloxi Shuckers.
The Milwaukee Brewers prospect has now received the weekly honor four times this season, with all four selections coming over the past two months. His latest recognition came after another productive week at the plate, during which he demonstrated the power that has made him one of the most dangerous hitters in the minors.
Fischer went 6-for-16 over five games from Aug. 24-30, hitting four home runs while driving in eight runs and scoring six more. He also drew three walks during the week.
The performance added to what has already been an extraordinary power season for the 2025 first-round selection. Fischer leads all minor-league players with 42 home runs, continuing to separate himself from the rest of the field in one of the most notable offensive categories.
His power has been on display throughout the season, including when he became the first minor league hitter to reach the 40-home run mark. Fischer celebrated the milestone by going deep twice in the same game, further highlighting the type of impact he can have in the middle of a lineup.
The Brewers selected Fischer with the 20th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft after he finished his college career at Tennessee. His offensive production has carried over into professional baseball, particularly in the power department.
Fischer began the season primarily splitting time between third base and designated hitter. However, he has increasingly moved over to first base since Luis Peña was promoted to Biloxi. Fischer is familiar with the position after playing first base during his junior season at Tennessee.
While his offensive production has been difficult to overlook, Fischer's overall prospect status remains a subject of evaluation. He is currently ranked as Milwaukee's No. 5 prospect but is not included on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 Prospects list.
That distinction does little to diminish what Fischer has accomplished this season. His strikeout totals remain an area that evaluators will continue to monitor, but his ability to consistently drive the ball out of the ballpark has made him one of the most productive hitters in the minor leagues.
Fischer's latest Prospect Team of the Week selection is another recognition of that production. With the regular season entering its final weeks, he will have an opportunity to continue building on an already memorable first full professional season.
For the Brewers, Fischer's development will be one of the more intriguing storylines to follow as the organization evaluates how his offensive production can translate to the next level.
