The 22-year-old rookie dismantled Los Angeles pitching to join elite company, fueling a dominant series lead while cementing his place as a cornerstone of Milwaukee’s championship pursuit.

Cooper Pratt is officially the second player in Milwaukee Brewers history to have a three-hit game before their 23rd birthday, according to WTMJ's Dominic Cotroneo.

To no surprise, the only other player to do so is superstar Jackson Chourio.

Chourio had his first postseason three-hit game in Game 1 of the 2025 National League Division Series.

Here in 2026, Pratt just put together a three-hit game in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series.

The 22-year-old looked unstoppable at the plate against a Los Angeles Dodgers team that faces their first 3-0 deficit in a best-of-seven series since 1966.

Pratt is now 5-for-8 with a stolen base and a run in his last two games of the series.

Five of his nine hits in the playoffs have come off the Dodgers, and that's quite the accomplishment for a shortstop who earned his way onto the playoff roster after being called up in mid-June.

Brewers' Pratt is in same conversation as Chourio

With how many big at-bats Chourio has had not just in this postseason, but throughout his young three-year career, it's always a good thing to be in the same conversation as the Venezuelan native.

Pratt, a Florida native, hit .281 in the regular season and is now hitting .360 in the playoffs.

He's recorded a hit in five of his last six playoff games, and it's crazy to think he's had a multi-hit game in three of his last five.

Pratt may not be a home run hitter, but he does indeed have a double in this series as his OBP sits at .360 and he has a .400 SLG.

After his first 25 postseason at-bats, Pratt sports a .760 OPS.

As crazy as it is to say, he has the Brewers' second-most hits in the playoffs, only trailing William Contreras who has 10.

Pratt is tied for third with 25 at-bats in the playoffs, and despite a few crucial errors at shortstop, manager Pat Murphy showed just how confident he is in the rookie as he has appeared in all seven playoff games, to this point.

Milwaukee could've easily pulled the plug on Pratt and put David Hamilton at third base and Joey Ortiz at shortstop, or vice-versa, but Murphy is letting Pratt settle in, and that type of confidence in the 22-year-old is what makes this team so special.

Pratt has one of the team's four doubles in the playoffs, and his 10 total bases are tied for third with Garrett Mitchell and Brice Turang.

He's also only struck out four times, which puts things into perspective, knowing Mitchell and Turang have the same number of at-bats but have struck out 12 and six times, respectively.
