Josue De Paula has become the first Los Angeles Dodgers player in 2026 to reach 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases in the same season.

Josue De Paula has reached another significant milestone in what has become a breakout season for the Los Angeles Dodgers' top prospect.

The 21-year-old outfielder became the first player in the Dodgers organization at any level this season to record at least 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases, establishing himself as one of the most productive young players in the organization.

De Paula reached the mark Sunday while playing for Double-A Tulsa. He finished 3-for-4 and connected on his 25th home run of the season during the eighth inning of Tulsa's 7-4 loss to Amarillo.

The home run came against right-hander Antonio Menendez, with De Paula driving a low pitch toward right field. The performance capped another strong series for the outfielder, who recorded three multihit games during the series.

The power surge has been particularly impressive throughout August. De Paula has hit eight home runs this month, giving him his highest monthly total of the season. He has also more than doubled his previous career high of 12 home runs, which he established during the 2025 season.

While De Paula's power has taken center stage recently, his speed remains an important part of his overall game. He has 29 stolen bases on the season, leaving him just one steal shy of becoming only the second Dodgers player since at least 2006 to finish a season with at least 20 home runs and 30 stolen bases.

Joc Pederson previously accomplished the feat at the upper levels of the Dodgers' Minor League system in 2013 and 2014. Pederson reached the 30-homer, 30-steal mark in 2014 before eventually becoming an All-Star with Los Angeles.

De Paula's combination of power and speed has helped solidify his standing as one of the most intriguing prospects in baseball. He entered the season as MLB's No. 6 overall prospect and remains the top-ranked player in the Dodgers' farm system.

His durability has also been notable. De Paula has already appeared in 111 games this season, surpassing his previous career high by four games. Add in the uptick in offensive production, and it simply has been a recipe for success for the young Dodgers prospect.

With the regular season approaching its final weeks, De Paula has continued to provide evidence of why he is viewed as a potential impact player for the Dodgers. His ability to contribute both at the plate and on the basepaths has made 2026 a defining season in his development.
