San Francisco Giants prospect Jhonny Level continued his impressive August with another four-hit performance for High-A Eugene.
Jhonny Level’s breakout season continued Friday night as the San Francisco Giants’ top prospect put together another impressive offensive performance for High-A Eugene.
Level, ranked No. 4 among Giants prospects and No. 47 overall by MLB Pipeline, recorded four hits in Eugene’s 12-10 extra-inning loss to Vancouver. It marked his second four-hit game of August and his fourth of the 2026 season, further highlighting the progress he has made throughout the year.
The 19-year-old shortstop got his night started with a double in the first inning. He immediately made an impact on the bases by stealing third and later scored on a sacrifice fly from Cam Maldonado.
Level added another hit in the fourth inning, this time a single, before stealing second base. He was unable to score, but his activity on the bases continued to be a major part of his performance.
In the sixth, Level picked up another single and drove in a run. He was later picked off first base, but that did little to slow him down.
Level came through with his fourth hit in the eighth inning, then stole another base and scored on a Maldonado double to help Eugene pull even. His stolen base was his third of the game and 23rd of the season.
The Giants prospect still had one more opportunity to contribute. With Eugene trailing after Vancouver scored three runs in the top of the 10th inning, Level delivered a sacrifice fly to bring the Emeralds within two runs. Eugene ultimately came up short with the tying runs on base.
Despite the loss, it was another standout performance for Level, who collected hits from both sides of the plate as a switch-hitter.
The performance also continued an impressive stretch of baseball for Level. He has recorded seven multi-hit games through 15 contests in August, batting .377 during the month.
Overall on the season, Level has been one of the Giants’ most intriguing prospects, posting a stat line of .317/.383/.525 with 17 homers on the year, with an OPS of .908 across Low-A and High-A this year.
Level has established himself as one of the most productive young hitters in the Giants’ farm system this season. He leads Giants prospects with 227 total bases and has continued to build momentum as he moves through his first full professional season.
With another four-hit performance already in the books, Level is showing few signs of slowing down as August approaches its conclusion.
