San Francisco Giants top prospect Jhonny Level continued his 2026 campaign by belting two home runs and driving in four runs during High-A Eugene's victory.
San Francisco Giants' prospect Jhonny Level continues to strengthen his case as one of the Giants' brightest young prospects.
The 19-year-old shortstop turned in a standout performance on July 24, going 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs to lead High-A Eugene to a 5-3 victory over the Everett AquaSox. It marked the third multi-home run game of his remarkable season and his first since earning a promotion to High-A earlier this summer.
Level wasted little time making an impact, opening the scoring with a solo home run to straightaway center field in the first inning. Although Everett quickly answered to even the game, Eugene regained control two innings later with Level once again at the center of the offense.
Big hits at key moments
With runners in scoring position during the third inning, Level delivered a well-placed single that bounced over a drawn-in infield, bringing home two runs and restoring Eugene's lead.
He later added valuable insurance in the middle innings by launching another solo homer, this time to right-center field, extending Eugene's advantage to 5-3. The blast gave him 14 home runs on the season, establishing a new career high after he finished with 12 homers in 2025.
The performance accounted for four of Eugene's five runs and highlighted the offensive consistency that has defined Level's breakout campaign.
Bounce-back effort after brief slump
Friday's game also served as a timely response following a difficult stretch at the plate.
Level had entered the contest hitless over his previous 12 at-bats during the series, but quickly erased any concerns with one of his best performances since joining High-A.
Despite the recent lull, his season-long production remains among the best in the Giants' farm system.
A standout season across two levels
At this time, Level has emerged as one of the organization's premier prospects thanks to his combination of power, contact ability, and overall offensive production. Playing across two minor-league levels this season, the switch-hitting infielder leads all Giants minor leaguers with 111 hits, 47 extra-base hits and 188 total bases.
He also ranks among the organization's leaders in slugging percentage (.522) and OPS (.886), demonstrating an advanced offensive profile well beyond his age.
Already recognized as the Giants' No. 3 prospect and one of baseball's top overall prospects, Level continues to show why evaluators believe he could become a key piece of San Francisco's future.
With each strong performance following his promotion to High-A, the talented shortstop is proving that the jump in competition has done little to slow his impressive development.
