The Cleveland Guardians are searching for answers after dropping two out of three games to the Detroit Tigers.
Cleveland has now lost four straight series, 15 of their last 18 games, and is four games under .500. The last time the Guardians won a series was against the Cincinnati Reds, which came during the final week of July.
Everything is quickly spiraling out of control for the Guardians, especially in the batter's box.
Following Cleveland's four-hit, shutout loss to Detroit on Thursday, manager Stephen Vogt shared the team's current mindset, even though results have been few and far between for this group.
"Our guys are showing up ready to win every day, and that's all we can do," Vogt explained.
"Keep our heads down, keep working, and show up ready to win. The wins are gonna come. We just have to stay positive. We can't allow any outside negativity to get into our heads. So for us, it's stay positive, keep working, and win games."
Vogt's message after Cleveland's recent loss is similar to the one he's shared all season when things haven't gone the Guardians' way.

Cleveland has certainly suffered from some self-inflicted errors over the last few weeks, but for the most part, the team's biggest issue has simply been scoring runs.
The Guardians' on-base percentage of .362 since the beginning of August is actually tied for the best in all of baseball during that stretch. That said, the team's struggles with runners in scoring position have been the biggest issue for this group during that stretch.
Steven Kwan admitted after Thursday's loss that the team isn't happy with where they're at, but they have the experience to break out of this rut, and that they're all still mentally dialed in.
The Guardians are in a tough spot as their playoff chances get slimmer and slimmer with every loss.
However, it's clear no one in the locker room believes the season is over, and the first step to getting back on track is mentally having faith; that part has never wavered for the Guardians.
