UPDATE (5:36 p.m. ET): The story has been updated to include reports of the entire game moving to FOX Sports 2 (FS2), MLB Network and the FOX One app.
DETROIT — The Seattle Mariners and Detroit Tigers were scheduled to play Game 3 of the best-of-five American League Divisional Series at 1:08 p.m. PT/4:08 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Comerica Park in Detroit.
Rain and inclement weather led the game to be delayed to a to-be-determined time (as of 2:11 p.m. PT/5:11 p.m. ET Tuesday).
With the delay, there's also the question of where the game will air.
Game 3 between the Mariners and Tigers was set to air on FOX Sports 1 (FS1). It was scheduled to be the first of a two-ALDS game slate on the channel. The second game on the schedule was another ALDS Game 3 between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, scheduled for 5:08 p.m. PT/8:08 p.m. ET.
Barring a very quick turnaround in start time and game time, there will be overlap in Seattle vs. Detroit and Toronto vs. New York.
Due to this, the game between the Mariners and Tigers will be moved to FOX Sports 2 (FS2) and will air on MLB Network and available to stream on the FOX One app, according to a report on "X" from FOX Sports 13 reporter Aaron Levine.
Originally, according to a post on "X" from The Athletic's Andrew Marchand, the game between Seattle and Detroit was scheduled to air on FS1, even with the delay, and move FS2 if/when it overlapped with Blue Jays vs. Yankees.
Both games will be available to be streamed on the FOX Sports app and the FOX One app. Both apps are free to download on the App and Google Play stores.
The Mariners and Tigers are tied 1-1 in the ALDS. Assuming there's not a change due to the delay, Logan Gilbert will start for Seattle and Jack Flaherty will start for Detroit.
