We discuss everything to know surrounding the Washington Nationals on the latest episode of the DC Roundtable Podcast

On the next episode of the DC Roundtable Podcast hosted by Tyler Lochte and Ahmed Ghafir diving into the Washington Nationals, we dive into all the latest news you need to know with the offseason fresh and more questions than answers following a promising year one.

While the Nationals elected to not renew the contracts of multiple assistant coaches, they also saw a promising prospect within the organization elect to depart after catch Riley Adams opted to declare for free agency, ending his stint in Washington. Yet with Keibert Ruiz and Harry Ford already within the organization, is there any reason for concern? We discuss with Adams expected to draw interest ahead of a potential free agency this offseason.

The Nationals did see some good news after four prospects landed inside MLB Pipeline's final top 100 rankings for the 2026 regular season. To the surprise of no one, former top overall pick and shortstop Eli Willits leads the way after remaining inside the top ten following a monster first full season in the minor league. While right handed pitcher Travis Sykora has remained sidelined with all eyes on how he fares, should spring training materialize in 2027, one of the biggest risers in the rankings was infielder Seaver King.

Could King be the one to make an impact on the Nationals' roster first? We discuss whether he's the right pick, especially after star infielder CJ Abrams moved from shortstop to second base in the second half of the 2026 season. Yet he isn't alone as Jarlin Susana will get an opportunity to showcase himself as a starter in the rotation beginning the Arizona Fall League, who made his debut this past weekend. Could Susana end up beating King out to carve out a role in the 2027 rotation?
