Phillies star Kyle Schwarber continues to impress year after year.

Despite the Philadelphia Phillies' offense being a little inconsistent throughout the 2026 season, there were some bright spots for the team.

One of those came from old reliable, slugger Kyle Schwarber, who put together another special year for Philadelphia. Due to his performance this year, Schwarber has been named a Silver Slugger Finalist for the 2026 season.

Schwarber finished the season hitting .232 with 45 home runs and 97 RBIs, while posting an OPS of .857. The slugger finished the year tied for the Major League home run title, alongside Chicago Cubs star Pete Crow-Armstrong.

The veteran was in the first year of a new deal with the Phillies, and he more than earned his keep for this team. Schwarber is now seeking his second career Silver Slugger Award, which would continue to add to the legacy of his career.

The Phillies have been impressed with the consistency that Schwarber continues to put together each season, giving them a true power bat for the lineup. Philadelphia will continue to build around the slugger, with Schwarber still looking electric at the plate despite him getting up there in age.

Schwarber is now 33 years old, but his power hasn't slowed down one bit, much to the amazement of the Phillies. Pairing him alongside Bryce Harper has given Philadelphia one of the more deadly duos that baseball has to offer.

But these two stars need more help to get the Phillies over the hump to win a World Series title. Schwarber has spoken about this, with his desire to win the city a ring, but the front office will have to address some roster concerns this offseason.

With the Phillies knowing that they can count on Schwarber to keep hitting in the manner that he has been, it helps the team build out the rest of the roster. The slugger is good for at least 40 home runs each year, as long as he's healthy, providing a massive power spark to the team.

After another early playoff exit, the Phillies' brass has some tough decisions to make across the roster, with the team needing some sort of change. But what that change looks like remains to be seen as the offseason gets going for Philadelphia.

For now, Schwarber will wait to see if he can win the award this year, while also paying close attention to the moves that the Phillies make to improve the team.
