I saw this postgame interview with White Sox outfielder Jarred Kelenic on social media this morning, and I wanted to give Kelenic some love and talk about how he might be heating up at the plate.

A few days ago, I noticed how strong Kelenic's baseball savant metrics were, despite the fact that his numbers didn't reflect how hard he'd been hitting the ball. There's a lot of swing and miss in this profile, but he's one of the best in baseball in nearly every other category in the small sample size of 29 at-bats this season.

We saw Kelenic on Tuesday night hit the ball hard plenty of times, but he got pretty bad batted ball luck.

Then on Thursday, he went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, a walk, and two RBIs. The double was another rocket, hit over 100 mph over the outfielders' head.

Even the single came off the bat at 106.4.

Kelenic's OPS is at .693 for the season, but don't be surprised if we continue to see him heat up and the results line up with the metrics. The White Sox are gonna wanna give him more regular at-bats, at least until the outfield gets healthy.
